my favourite quote: “if you’re going to be successful, you got to be willing to give up sleep”
thankyou so much.
I’m not gonna tell no life story. All I’m gonna say is that Eric Thomas has changed my life for the better.
I didn’t make the team my freshman year. The next summer I worked my ass off, got better and went to tryouts the next year confident I was gonna make it, I didn’t. I kept on working, everyday, waking up early to practice. I’ve made the JV team this year, junior year, but idc. I’m still working, I’m the best on JV and I’m probably going to be moved up. If I keep working like this my senior year I can do anything. NEVER GIVE UP
0:07 Kobe vs. D. Wade…
yup, kobe totally sucks
this completely changed my mindset on basketball, and life in general. dang
cool video man!
I am 22 yrs old, got cut back in high school and never played again. I am now in college and am getting ready to start training again even though I am out of shape and out of pratice. Heres the thing I never lost love for the game and I am not going to quite just because of the odds that are against me…the words in this video go through me everyday when I am in that gym everyday and it reminds me that it is never too late to chase your dreams and that I can do it no matter what.
i’m a 16 year old European basketball player who lives to play the game. I always regret when i’m not working out because my father can’t pay a gym for me to go to in the winter. I’m slightly autistic and can’t imagine an other job besides the NBA. I played this summer every fucking day and I’m improving every time I touch the ball. And I know I can make it. It just takes a lot of hard work….. But I believe in myself. That’s good enough for me.
@MrBasketballdude3 Awesome! Nice one dude! But how did you manage to get the motivation to get up every morning and do this? Other than this video! :L
@PSYREN123 its Kyrie Irving
Played 2 years of basketball at my highschool. Got cut after sophmore year.(politics and such) At first I just wanted to put blame on the coach for the reason I got cut but then I realized that complaining wasn’t going to get me anywhere. I still had/have the dream to make college basketball so that summer I worked my ass off getting quicker, better, faster, and stronger. Now I am a new player with new confidence. I made a really good AAU team and im trying to keep my college dreams alive.
who’s the guy at 2:12
39 people are allen iverson
Freshman yr I got cut so dat summer I worked hard, practiced on my dribbling and shot. Sophomore yr I started dunking got stronger and faster but still got cut, I didn’t giv up I practiced hard and got better. Junior yr I tried out and got cut, I was devastated, upset and really considered switching skools, but I stayed now senior yr I tried out and got cut….sike wuldn’t dat hav been awful I made da team, start (6′1, 25 ppg, 12rpg, and 5apg) lol
Freshman year in H.S never like basketball at all my mom force me to play so i did…..try out for the jv basketball team. I didnt make it because i was nice made because of my height 6feet 4 tallest but whackest on my team. Peoples talked about how i was whack couldnt dunk miss wide open lay up,laugh at me, even told me i was whack and waist of height, tall for nothing, list goes on. But not 1 day i let that bother. Not 1 day i decided to quit, i use what peoples said about me as a motivation.
When basketball season was over i didnt take a 1month break i didnt take a break at all i work on my game even those i didnt know any coaches i work by my self, i practice my post up moves, shooting & dunking, the gym was my second home. I still didnt do go in my sophomoreH.S year but did great on other teams i played 4. I was determined to get better my junior year work harder then i ever did b4 and im hoping to have a good H.S season this year and get colleges looks im now 6 Feet 6 17 years old

In middle school i was cut 3 times by 2 different coaches between the school and travel team. I used that as motivation and now im starting varsity in high school 2 years later. i wear 32 as motivation, 3 times by 2 coaches.
I watch this video 3 times a day before I workout. I must be successful, and I’m willing to stay up 3+ days in a row, and forget to eat. Idc I MUST be successful…
