OTL: Charleston, SC Firefighter Basketball Coach (Pt. 1)

ESPN’s Outside The Lines chronicles the late Louis Mulkey. Mulkey, a former high school basketball coach and firefighter, died along with eight other men in a Charleston, SC furniture store fire on June 18, 2007. Those brave heroes are posthumously known as the Charleston Nine. This heart-wrenching tale describes Mulkey’s influences on his widowed wife, former colleagues and his players’ run to the State Championship. Aired 6-1-2008.
